AYADE PUNISHES WORKERS FOR LATENESS.

Cross River state governor, Ben Ayade on Wednesday locked out senior and junior personnel working in the Governor’s Office for lateness.

The governor who came to work earlier today, after his return from a long absence outside Calabar and returned on Monday ordered the security to lock the main gate at 8am.

The workers’ reluctance to work early is due to the governor’s lateness or absence from office and lack of conducts, those working in the governor’s office resumes at about 11 am and dismisses before 3 pm.

As of noon, the gate was still under lock and key while visitors and personnel were seen around the surroundings.

It would be recalled that this is the third time Ayade has locked out government workers since becoming governor over lateness.

The governor said that he does not have the heart to lay off workers even when they commit serious offences.
