Sadiq Gaya, one of the children of Kano state Senator, Kabiru Gaya, who was a legal practitioner and a staff of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) died on Tuesday in Abuja and was buried around 4pm. He is survived by his spouse and two children.
Kabiru Gaya, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), lost his wife, Halima, in May 2020.
Abdullahi Ganduje, Kano state governor has commiserated with the federal lawmaker and the family.
Ganduje’s Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar, stated that the news of Sadiq’s demise was received with great shock.
Ganduje and the All Progressives Congress (APC) members paid him a visit at his residence in Abuja.
Gaya has served in the Senate since 2007, representing Kano South Senatorial District.
